U13 Wins Championship in Fort Erie AAA Border Classic
The U-13 Southern Tier Admirals won the AAA Border Classic this past weekend in Fort Erie. After going 2-0-2 in the round robin they played the Markham Waxers in the Semi finals. STA was trailing 3-1 after two periods but they never quit and were able to get 2 quick goals to start the 3rd and with a few minutes left Isaiah Parker scored the game winner and STA advanced to finals vs York Simcoe.
In the finals STA jumped out to a 3-0 lead but York Simcoe battled back to make it 3-2 until Ethan Goodman scored late to put the game away. It was a great way to start the season and hopefully the momentum will continue in to the season which starts Oct 4th at home vs Credit River.
